Great news!

"Just want to let you all in on some good news. I have been offered a
place for 3 months (October to December) at a rather fabulous artists'
residency in France, 1 1/2 hours out of Paris on the banks of the
Seine (bonus - I can go by train). The place is called "camac" and the
website is www.camac.org, so you can all check it out. It was started
by two women, one of them a Canadian, and is associated with The Banff
Center for the Arts among others, which will carry some weight on my
c.v. in Canada, as I am planning to return to Vancouver in January.

I would never have dared to propose myself to this place because it
seems so far above the level I've reached to date, but my contact in
France organised this based entirely on my website
(www.alannahkrutina.com), so I guess the site has really paid off
(thank you, Blue and Willow)! There is a selection committee for this
place, and they decide if the project, the work of the artist, and
their potential participation at camac will be suitable, and seeing
the credentials of some of the other artist there, all I can say is
that I'm honoured to be chosen."

Meet Louise McClary... the latest artist to join the party that is Create Folios...

Louise is a fantastic artist, and whilst we try not to have favourites here at Create Folios, she was one of our favourite artists before we met her, and on our list of people we would love to build portfolios for. Then, lo and behold, she came to us to build her very first web site, her online portfolio. Boy were we stoked to have that happen [okay, well, we might have given her a nudge!], and we can't tell you how happy we are today to have finished her site.

This site is one of our record breaking 2 week builds. One week and four days to be precise. How? Three reasons:
1. Because we're good, we're really good!
2. Because Louise had all her material for the site organised and ready for us to get cracking, from when we met her. She helped to make it a breeze.
3. Because Louise's work is so heavenly, we couldn't help but enjoy working on it [we're missing it already], and actually, there are four reasons...
4. Because Louise made it fun. She's a great character, and has to be our most fun client to work with to date. Three cheers for Louise McClary!

Later in the year, we'll be awarding a 'Client of the Year' award, and you may be able to guess who's in the top slot for it right now...

We're growing...due to the expansion of our collection of Create Folios artists [we've had many new clients jump aboard the Create Folios gravy train this month, taking advantage of our great service, good prices, and fun to work with approach to both work and life - keep an eye on our

for updates this month], we are now focusing solely on the design and development of online portfolio websites for artists and creatives.

We love to work with artists and other creatives, it helps us to keep inspired and always brings a dose of fun to our days here at Create Folios. Work doesn't need to be boring! Our latest artist site launch...

Celebrating yet another site launch today, we're continuing to enjoy a special working relationship with the artists community.

Alannah Krutina is our latest. A painter of beautifully abstract expressionistic works, we love them! This site shows just what can be achieved with our simple one page site package. We did throw in one freebie for Alannah, we formatted and redesigned her biography as a PDF so it could be downloaded by art gallery directors interested in her work.

We organized her business cards for her too. All in time for her solo show opening tomorrow in St. Ives. Next week she will be visiting gallery directors in London, wielding her new business cards and website. How quickly did all this happen? Only one week after we bumped into her at the St. Ives School of Painting, where she was wondering what was the best pay to present herself to the art world. Great choice Alannah!

Launched today! Keeping up momentum, today we launch the new Sazbah website at

which is now one of our favourite places to hang out, so glad we got this opportunity to discover Sazbah!

Sazbah is an awesome discovery, a Moroccan / Bohemian themed bar tucked away in the tumbling streets of St. Ives, a real gem to discover. The atmosphere, the colours of the interior, the comfort, the fun, the company, the food, Sazbah really has it all. We love it! We were even more pleased to discover that Sarah, the owner, is so pleased with her new site, that she is treating us to an 'extra special' vegetarian Sunday roast at Sabah as a bonus for us!
